Spanish premiere of the 'Sin+fonia pela Paz'.

The Spanish premiere of the Sin+fonia pela Paz will take place in Ciudad Real on July 4, 2024. The group of European Composers 'Musica pro Populo' in consisted by Francisco José Rosal Nadales (ES), Francisco Manuel Relva Pereira (PT), Ilio Volante (IT) and Charalampos Makris (GR). Sin+fonia pela Paz is the second oeuvre composed by 'Musica pro Populo', alongside with Suite 2020. 

The work was commissioned by the Municipality of Cantanhede in Portugal and premiered in 2023 at the Portuguese cities of Lares, Santana, Mira and Cantanhede during the festivities of the Portuguese National Day, April 25th. Because of the enormous success, concerts in Portugal were repeated in April 2024.

  

The term Sin+fonia derives from symphony, originally a Greek term, meaning a vast music work consisting of four parts. By the term Sin+fonia the composers are calling all artists and spiritual people to cooperate for world peace, democracy, friendship and equality. Sin+fonia literally refers to a group of voices acting together in a harmonic way: Sin [gr. Συν, add, plus] + foni [gr. φωνή, voice].    

Sin+fonia pela Paz consists of four parts:

1. The Marble King [gr. Ο Μαρμαρωμένος Βασιλιάς], Charalampos Makris

2. Epitafio para las víctimas, Francisco José Rosal Nadales

3. Paz na terra, nao ha guerra, Francisco Manuel Relva Pereira

4. Il Popolo Universale, Ilio Volante

The Municipal band of the Music Association of Ciudad Real will be conducted by the four composers and the Spanish conductor Jesus Miguel Gracia Ocaña.
